More information

Yoga – Please visit the FAQ section of my website to learn more about Vinyasa Flow and Yin yoga. Both classes on this retreat can be adapted for beginners. Please bring a yoga mat with you, all other props are provided.

Yoga Nidra – A term that translates as ‘yogic sleep’. It’s a guided relaxation that allows you to feel the benefits of deep sleep and it’s a place where the brain waves are unable to accommodate stress or anxiety. More information about Yoga Nidra is available under the News section of my website.

Nature Walk – A five mile walk along the Cuckmere River and in to Friston Forest. Taking in many of the glorious sights the South Downs has to offer. Please ensure you bring clothes suitable for the weather and walking shoes or boots.

Forest Bathing – First developed in Japan in the 1980’s, scientific studies show that just an hour or two of mindful exploration in a forest reduces stress and cortisol levels and actually alters brain waves which can improve concentration and boost the immune system. More information is available on the National Trust website.

Sound Therapy by Alice – The sounds and vibrations of singing bowls promote relaxation and restoration with subtle and sometimes profound healing effects. They can be used to take the recipient into deep meditative states, which can then, in turn lead the body into a place of homeostasis, which helps the body to self-regulate and create self-generative healing. Please visit Alice’s website for more information.

Food and drink – All food and drink on this day retreat will be provided. Please do let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Locally Sourced where we can

Our morning coffee experience will be provided by Liquid Spirit Coffee Roasters. Based in Litlington, just a stones throw from our Retreat venue. Their aim is to extract the best natural flavour from every coffee bean, so they scrutinise every detail about the origin of the beans and the farms they come from. More information is available on their website.

To round off the day, Harley House Distillery  will be attending to showcase their gin range. A family run company, based in Seaford just over the hill from Alfriston. A personal favourite, their distillery aims to produce unique flavours that leave a lasting impression on the tastebuds. More information is available on their website.
