Yoga Nidra translates as ‘yogic sleep’ and is a guided relaxation. During this time, I take you on a journey, through a body scan so you can bring your attention and awareness to these areas of the body, releasing tension. When we truly feel the body, the mind will naturally relax. This class is an hour of no expectations, no movement, no goals. All you need to do is come as you are, get comfy and resolve to let everything that does not serve you melt away.
In our general classes together, a Yoga Nidra is usually between 9-12 minutes. With this special event, I will guide you through a beautiful visualisation for around 45 minutes. What happens in this glorious wake/sleep border where cortisol levels are actually non-existent and the body and mind can process information and emotions, we let go of negative thought patterns and just allow this time for ourselves to completely and utterly relax.
